Ladapaw Letters

Over the course of seven weeks, Ladapaw Letters started as a concept and has now been brought to completion. It’s a three-letter series that’s sent bi-weekly to an email distribution list of interested audience members. The newsletter focuses on pet adoption and specified factors that tie along to it. The potential topics were seemingly endless, however, have been meticulously narrowed down for the trilogy.

I began the concept of Ladapaw Letters by developing a project proposal that lists out the purpose of what it is, why it’s important, how it will be useful, and what I need to do to create the newsletters – the deliverables.

Once the proposal was finished, the next step was the create the plan to successfully manage the three newsletters over the course of seven weeks.

To be blunt, this plan required some deviation as it presented itself necessary from week to week. It’s an effective plan, but there’s no question that doing the work will always bring to attention details that need to be revised for a better outcome.

The tweaks to the plan involve the production step – where I found myself needing more time to take a step back and re-look at the animated newsletters with a clear head for making improvements. This required more time than anticipated on the animation but was a necessary step for the best possible letter production.

Trello, a project management software helped me to re-arrange tasks as needed and keep my deliverables in order.
